On one of the hottest days of 2014 Carly and I photographed Leanne and Kyle’s stylish vintage wedding at the stunning Aldwick Court Farm & Vineyard. Nestled in the Mendip countryside and situated 25 minutes from Bristol city centre it’s perfect for couples who want to get away from the busy crowds of the South West but don’t want to leave their city roots too far behind. The vineyard and recently renovated barn was the perfect backdrop for this fairytale wedding.
Once again Carly started off with the bridal party getting ready at Leanne’s Granddad’s house while I was with the boys at a hire cottage just down the road from the wedding venue. With so much attention to every aspect of their day from start to finish the pressure was on to capture every little detail.
The happy couple decided to tie the knot in St. Stephens Church in Soundwell, Bristol where Leanne used to sing in the choir. The groom sat nervously for his future wife but luckily he had his best men there for moral support.
After the ceremony all the guests piled onto an iconic red London bus hired to take them to Aldwick Court Farm for the rest of the days proceedings.
As the wedding was in June we were blessed with a long day of glorious light and a perfect sunset for some romantic couple shots. Excited guests couldn’t help themselves and decided to join in for some photos, which certainly made for some fun group shots!
With lots of champagne drunk it was now time for only one thing…dancing!
Virtually the whole wedding piled on the dance floor to strut their stuff.
Thanks again to Leanne and Kyle for choosing my wedding photography services and congratulations on a great day! :D
